Description
The Cliff Palace was constructed approximately 800 years ago by Ancestral Puebloans in present-day southwestern Colorado. This is the largest cliff dwelling in North America, containing 150 rooms. Theodore Roosevelt established Mesa Verde National Park in 1906 to protect the area's archeological sites.
